Inspired in the double bind, a technique invented by psychologist Milton Erikson, which is based on the introduction of a systematic series of paradoxes to deepen the hypnotic state.

The piece is composed almost entirely using a model of waveguide synthesis that resembles a woodwind instrument. Some of the sections only use this sound, while in other sections of the piece is combined with another model for percussion sounds. The pitches are organized in 60 parts of octave, moving either chromatically or following a non octavating scale (sieve in Xenakian conception). For the rhythms i wrote a code that helped me to create measures that stretch and compress in time, and inside which the events oscillate or gravitate around each other. All sounds and musical structures i wrote them in Supercollider language.

Some of the works of these group of pieces were composed for hearing impaired performers, as part Trasunto#2 project. That’s why the compositions are very rich in low frequencies, so the performers could feel the vibrations of the music.
